Hello PMA teachers, and Happy Wednesday!

Another week, another edition of Wednesday Words to provide you with an update from the academy!

First things first, thank you for everything you all do as teachers and brain developers. Your teaching abilities, excellent service, and adaptability skills have been on display and pushed us through a period of change, growth, and new territories at PMA. With several events coming up in the next handful of weeks (Second Saturday 10/14, Retirement Performance 10/21, Fall Recital 11/17-18), please note that students should be preparing for these performances if they are participating, and we hold some great responsibilities in helping them to be ready! To address timelines, concerns, answer FAQ’s, and provide additional information about the recital, a comprehensive guide has been provided on the teacher resource page. Please feel free to read through and send any questions my way! I’m happy to help and looking forward to seeing your students perform.

In other news, our office staff will be adding a new face in Monica, and wishing the absolute best to a familiar one in Anna as she pursues other opportunities. Her last day with PMA will be 10/11, so please make sure to thank her for all of her tireless work and effort with/for us! Monica will be working at Lake Pleasant and will be assuming some of Laura’s duties. Please say hello and welcome her to the team!

After our admin meeting to prepare for Quarter 4 and review Quarter 3, the leadership team is incredibly excited for the future, development, and growth of PMA. Without amazing teachers upholding our values, vision, and brand and shaping minds, none of this would be possible, so thank you for being such a key cog in the operation of the academy. As we welcome in the upcoming slew of events, it is yet another chance for us to show our community how valuable music really is, how it changes lives, and how it brings out the best in everyone.

If you have any questions about the recital or any other events, please let me or an office staff member know. I will attach a copy of the recital document next week, but it can be accessed on the teacher page! Let’s make sure that our students are ready to be a star for this Hollywood-themed recital!

Once more, thank you all for your devotion to teaching, to music, to your students, and to PMA. Here’s to a strong end to 2023 and a breakthrough in 2024!
