Recital F.A.Q.

WHEN IS THE RECITAL?: Saturday, February 26th, 2022 and Sunday, February 27th, 2022 from 11:00 am – 7:00 pm.

WHAT TIME DO I PERFORM?: Sign up at the link above to secure your preferred session. (Please note sign ups are for performers only. Please provide the name of the performer when you submit your sign up.) After, you can check on Opus1.io on your student’s profile to see which Session you enrolled in.

WHAT TIME DO I ARRIVE?: Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your performance time. If you perform at 2 p.m., arrive at 1:30 p.m., etc.

HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?: Each performer performs in one 50 minute set. Sets are on the hour (2-2:50, 3-3:50, etc). It is designed so that you can leave after you or your child perform. As a courtesy to all of the performers, please watch the entire 50 minute program as we want every student to have the same amount of respect from the audience.

WHERE IS IT?: Arrowhead Towne Center at 7700 W Arrowhead Towne Center, Glendale, AZ 85308. The recital is in the outdoor amphitheater around the north facing entrance of the mall by the AMC Movie Theater. You will check your student in at a booth by the entrance then take your seat. The provided seating is cement, so feel free to bring seat cushions, blankets, etc. There will be a small amount of seating in grass available as well.

WILL THERE BE A RECEPTION AFTERWARDS?: Yes! Held in the Community Room, there will be an opportunity for families to hang out, take pictures in a photo booth, and get some small bites to eat.

WHERE DO I PARK?: You can park in any of the mall parking.

WHAT DO THE PERFORMERS WEAR?: Formal recital attire. Black pants or skirts and white button up shirts or tops is traditional for performances, but not obligatory. Recitals are an important event in a student’s musical development, so we do ask our students to dress nicely. Suits and more formal dresses are also welcome. There will an opportunity to take photos as well, so dress your best!

WHAT DO WE BRING?: 1. Your sheet music if you use it. 2. Your instrument. We will provide a keyboard, electric drums, amps, and cables for you. 3. Yourself!

CAN WE TAKE PICTURES AND VIDEO?: Yes! Please no flash photography and silence your cellphones.

IS THERE AN ADMISSION CHARGE?: The recital is free and open to the public and everyone is welcome to attend.
