Good morning and Happy Wednesday, PMA teachers! Our first piece of news for this week is the announcement/unveiling of our PMA Repair Program! We are offering repairs on acoustic, bass, and electric guitars as well as violin, drums, and ukulele. Repairs are done in-house by teachers, with a minimum 24 hour turnaround. We also offer some custom body work for guitar and bass. Most repairs are fairly simple- string changes, tuning, bridge/rod adjustments (guitar), and some cosmetic work. We can provide rates and estimates for the repair and the instruments are left with us to be taken care of. If you have a student who is in need of a repair, please have them consult with the front desk to see if it is something we can do!

Up next, October is Spirit Month here at PMA! You are welcome to, and encouraged to, dress up with your students each week! Every week will have a different theme, so here is the list for you!

Week of October 2nd- Disney/Marvel

Week of October 9th- Neon Colors

Week of October 16th- Harry Potter/Fantasy

Week of October 23rd- Costume Week

Lastly, please start preparing your students for the recital. We are about seven weeks out, and ideally, students should feel ready to play by the three to four week mark. A document containing helpful information, guidelines for teachers and students alike, and expectations will be sent out to you in the very near future. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions! Again, the recital is booked for November 17th and 18th at New Life Church, so please make plans to attend and support PMA students!

As a reminder, our Retirement Community performance on October 21st is fast approaching. If you have students participating, please check in with the front desk to see what is needed as far as any helping tasks or materials! Finally, Peoria Second Saturday is taking place October 14th. We are in need of some teachers willing to perform for a short set outside of Axiom Church, so please check in with the office staff to receive information, schedule yourself, and confirm your attendance as soon as possible!

Please reach out to Dan or Laura with any questions about the performances that are upcoming. There is a lot to digest, but we are here to clear up any confusion and answer any inquiries. As always, thank you for all that you do and for being the best!
