Band & Orchestra lessons at Peoria Music Academy offer the ultimate opportunity to explore or learn classical, movie/video game theme music, pop, country, and bluegrass music. Lessons are designed to teach students the fundamentals of technique, ear training, theory, and more, using a variety of musical styles to enhance the learning experience.

Our instructors have received their education from prestigious institutions such as Manhattan School of Music, BYU, Arizona State University, University of Arizona, Northern Arizona University, Arizona Christian University, California State University, University of North Texas, University of Southern California, Northwestern. Many have toured the US and Europe, and bring many years of professional performance and teaching experience to your lessons.
What will I learn from Band & Orchestra lessons at the Academy?
Beginner students can expect to learn the workings of their new instrument through exercises, scales, songs, sight reading and theory. Our instructors balance musicianship and fun by making sure that each lesson presents a new technical challenges or theory concept, and ends with something fun, such as your favorite riff or song. We use a variety of method books as well as standard repertoire.
Do I need to purchase a Band or Orchestra instrument to learn?
You will need to have an instrument available to be able to practice at home. However, you can always rent your instrument at our location!

A one-time registration fee is $35 (due only at time of registration).
